The export of Dutch tiles continued unabated in the 18th century. New royal markets outside Europe were tapped, especially in the Near East. These types of flower vase tableaus have been found, for example, in a city palace in Algiers. They were executed by the Amsterdam tile painter Gerrit de Graaf.
