Welcome to the Princessehof Ceramics Museum, an 18th-century city palace in the middle of Leeuwarden's historic city centre.

The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
Special opening hours: Easter Monday, Whit Monday and Boxing Day
Closed: On New Year's Day, King's Day (26 April 2025) and Christmas Day

Discover the rich collection, focusing on Asian, European and modern ceramics. The musuem holds the largest and most varied collection of Chinese porcelain in the Netherlands and shows a rich a multifaceted picture of Dutch art nouveau and art deco ceramics from the period 1880-1930.

The Princessehof is located in the middle of Leeuwarden's beautiful historic city centre, a ten-minute walk from the train and bus station. You enter the museum through the museum shop, there is also an entrance on the Groeneweg where you walk into the museum through the renovated palace garden.
