From Antwerp, majolica bakers moved further north. For example, Hans Bernaert Vierleger settled in Haarlem in 1598. In addition to dishes, he made this kind of colorful tile tableaus. He signed this tableau with his monogram HBV and the year 1606. This makes it one of the first tableaus in majolica technique that were made in the Netherlands.
