Jar with decoration of birds and flowers, Delft, 1630 – 1650, earthenware, Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics (on loan from Ottema-Kingma Stichting).
This jar is an early example of Delftware with a Chinese decoration. To make it look like porcelain, even the bottom of the jar is covered with white tin glaze. Mainly plates have survived from this period. That makes this jar a rare piece.
