Rozenburg was the first Dutch factory to market decorative pottery in the new art nouveau style. It proved to be a great success and within a few years new factories appeared that started working in the Rozenburg genre. Models were blatantly copied from each other. It is clear that this strikingly shaped table clock by Rozenburg served as an example for the clocks of two competing factories.
